Ever wondered what it would be like to work at HMT and see the same amazing shows over and over and over again?
In this month’s instalment of Meet The Maj we catch up with the man who makes the Front of House department run smoothly and keeps the curtain going up on time night after night- Danny Alder!
Danny started work at Her Majesty’s Theatre back in 2010 after returning home from living in the UK. Having worked for the previous 3 years at the prestigious Theatre Royal Brighton (UK), Danny made contact with HMT on his arrival, and was soon offered the role of FOH Supervisor.
In his position, he makes sure that the 60 FOH staff know exactly what’s happening for their shift, maintains patron and staff safety, monitors that everyone behaves themselves and doesn’t cause a disturbance to the performance or other patrons, and most importantly ensures that patrons are given the highest customer service experience.
When he’s not doing that he makes corporate videos, short films, a podcast, and is a corporate MC for sporting events at the MCG and Tough Mudder. On top of that, he’s a proud father to his daughter.
Danny is proud to work for HMT, loves his job, and thoroughly enjoys the company of his fellow staff- and HMT wouldn’t be the same without him!
Thanks for all you do Danny!
