Elmo and his friends have fun learning how people sing and dance and say hello in different places, but things don’t go to plan when Cookie Monster eats a letter of the alphabet. Can Abby Cadabby find the right spell to help? Along the way, audiences will also delight in hearing a sensational tale from The Count and help some travelling rubber-duckies find a place to stay with Bert and Ernie. HOT SHOE SHUFFLE

One of the most successful Australian musicals of all time, the joyous, exhilarating hit Tap Dance musical comedy.

HOT SHOE SHUFFLE tells the tale of the Seven Tap Brothers, Spring, Slap, Buck, Wing, Tip, Tap and Slide who learn of the death of their long-absent father, who has apparently left them a fortune. The only catch is that to receive their inheritance, they must rehearse and perform his legendary ‘Act’ – the Hot Shoe Shuffle!! In addition, they must also include their long-lost sister, April, into The Act. The only problem is – she has two left feet! Hot Shoe Shuffle is finally performed triumphantly, in the tradition of the best Broadway musicals, featuring the big band hits of the 1940s.

Originally conceived, directed and produced by David Atkins OAM in 1992 it was choreographed by both Atkins and the now world-renowned tap choreographer Dein Perry.

THE GRADUATE

Adapted from Charles Webb’s novel and the Oscar winning film, The Graduate is at once a moving coming of age story and a terrifically funny black comedy. With the rise of the “Cougar”, the production is as relevant today as it was the day it was written, “The Graduate” is set against a soundtrack of some of the most memorable songs of the sixties including Wouldn’t It Be Nice – by The Beach Boys, Everybody’s Talkin – by Harry Nilsson and, of course, The Sound Of Silence & Mrs Robinson – by Simon and Garfunkel.

Jerry Hall will reprise her role as the legendary seductress, the sexy, sultry Mrs Robinson in a Melbourne exclusive season of “The Graduate” in 2013. Jerry’s wowed audiences in this iconic piece of American culture in the West End, Toronto, Broadway, North America, Perth and now, it’s Melbourne’s turn to be seduced.

The Graduate was originally commissioned and produced on the London and Broadway stage by John Reid and Sacha Brooks. It is presented in Melbourne by Andrew Kay, Liza McLean & Michael Coppel.

Beautiful full length performances of two of the most cherished classical ballets of all time

The Russian National Ballet Theatre commences a tour of full-length classical performances of Swan Lake and Nutcracker in over 24 cities across Australia from September.

With more than 50 ballet dancers, The Russian National Ballet Theatre has toured the USA, China, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Guatemala, Poland, South Korea and Japan transforming Russian Ballet. It was founded with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The basis for the creation of the theatre was necessity of promising young theatre with high creative potential, both the classical and contemporary.The theatre’s repertoire includes not only classical performances such as Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Scotland Suite, Don Quixote and Gala Concert, but also modern ballets set to the music of Mozart, Bach, Ravel and others.

In 1976 Artistic Director Evgeny Amosov, graduated from the Perm Academy of choreography and then joined the Ekaterinburg Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet as a principal dancer. He is also a Prize-winner of Russian and International choreography con-tests of ballet-masters and ballet dancers. In 1988 was Amosov was awarded the title Honored artist of Russia and in 1990 – was the leading solo dancer of the state theatre Russian ballet. From 1993 till 1998 he studied at the Russian Academy of theatrical arts. In 2001 Amosov co-founded the company Russian National Ballet Theatre.
