Following their hugely successful World Tour in 2006 (including to HMT), Drum Tao returns to Australia with a brand new show. This production has been seen by over 5 million people worldwide, with the performers gaining an unsurpassed reputation for their stunningly executed presentation. The incomparable quality and pure unadulterated power and spectacle of their work perfectly blends the ancient traditions of Taiko drumming with the innovative and flawlessly choreographed production values of contemporary Japanese excellence.
Powerful athletic bodies, training regimes lasting 14 hours each day, explosive percussion and timeless rituals are complimented perfectly in this Japanese spectacular featuring unrivalled drumming and martial arts mastery that creates an unforgettable performance.

The 16 young drummers beat their huge Wadaiko drums with outstanding precision and maintian an intensity throughout the performance that is a remarkable feat of athleticism and strength. Some of the drums have a circumference of up to 1.7 metres and can weigh nearly 400 kilos.
