The Maj Café & Bar is a great place to meet friends or colleagues or to take a break from the busy city.
Inside, you can sit in the cosy atmosphere, read today's papers, browse the internet and check emails (see below), peruse a range of show posters from past events at HMT or check out the growing collection of Caricatures of famous faces who have worked at the theatre.
In the warmer weather, sit outside and watch the world go by while you sip a tea or coffee or glass of wine.
The Maj is open for breakfast, lunch or just coffee or a light snack Monday to Friday.
Usual Café Hours
Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:00pm
Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
Whenever there is a show in the theatre, The Maj Bar will open two hours prior to the performance and remain open after the show.
Internet Access Now Available
The Maj Cafe now has wireless internet access available. Bring your laptop and surf the net or check your emails for just $2 for 15 minutes, $3 for 30 minutes or $5 for 30 minutes with a coffee. Stay connected at The Maj.
The Maj Bar on Friday
On Fridays, The Maj Bar remains open through the afternoon and into early evening, providing somewhere to relax and unwind after the stress of the working week. Happy Hour runs from 5:00pm - 6:00pm with half price house wines and house beers (Becks and Hahn).
